Hello, and happy Monday! I hope you had a relaxing Mother’s Day Weekend 🙂
I wanted to give you a little recap of our May Mod runway show in the event that you weren’t able to be here! This has become an annual event with our friends and neighbors at Noggins Organic Salon and we have had so much fun the past two years that we most definitely plan to do a third annual next May!
May Mod celebrated local style in a big way with our favorite boutiques and jewelers. And all to benefit Magnolia Speech School, which helps kids like my baby boy Dempsey who was born completely deaf. I am so thankful for the wonderful souls at Magnolia, and am so excited that they were this year’s beneficiary!
I’d like to give a special round of thanks to, of course, The SummerHouse and Noggins families. It was an “all hands on deck” situation at both shops and we could not have pulled anything off without our amazing teams. Noggins, the hair y’all created was OVER THE TOP FABULOUS!
Big thanks to Brown Bottling Company for providing the Bubly and Evian waters to keep us all hydrated! Calistoga Wine, Madison Cellars, Briarwood Wine and Spirits, and Cathead Vodka for provided the spirits for the evening. BIIIIG thanks to Fizz Mobile Bartending for taking over the bar services and for creating the most smashing signature cocktail for our event: The Magnolia Fizz. Everybody loved it! And of course, The Karovan Bar, provided by The Scout Guide Jackson, made bar service so much better this year. We loved having an outdoor bar once the Lord answered our prayers of keeping the rain away and keeping our stresses at bay! 😉 (We were definitely sweatin’ it for a few days leading up to the day-of…. Rain ruled the first half of that week!)
If it were not for Great Southern Events, we would not have had pipe-and-drape partitions to keep the models quarters private, nor would we have had runway-side seats! They always do us right and we are so thankful 🙂
Modeling agencies Lucid Models and JEA Model Management provided beautiful people to walk the runway in the clothes and jewels from the represented boutiques. All of the models did such an amazing job keeping the show top notch. Sharon Coker was our photographer for the evening, and she captured the most beautiful photos. Most of the photos in this post are hers, minus the few that I snapped with my phone!
Prickly Hippie, a fabulous local bakery, did the coolest wall of psychedelic donuts that couldn’t have been more perfect for our event! They were a huge hit! In front of the donut wall might have been the most photographed spot in the building the night of the event. And La Brioche provided their signature macarons and petit fours for another variation of sweet treat.
Our very own Hathaway McMillon crushed it with the floral arrangements!
Service Printers, y’all did an awesome job on our programs. Martinson’s, thank you for providing the perfect pop of plant life and color for the focal wall. DJ AJC, you provided the BEST tunes, beautiful lighting, and wonderful acapella during the laptop fiasco! 😉 We love you!!
All of the beautiful looks you see in this multitude of photos were provided by the following shops: Row 10 Baby, The Rogue, Forty Four Fifty, Hemline, Maison Weiss, Blithe & Vine, Beckham Jewelry, Albriton’s Jewelry, and Kendra Scott. Be sure to hop over to our Instagram where all these fabulous businesses have been tagged so you can follow them!
Aaaaaand I think I’ve put about as much as I possibly can into one blog post, so I’ll call it a day!
Thanks again SO MUCH to everyone who participated in and supported our show. It was the most fun! Very grateful for each of you 🙂
Now go enjoy this pretty day! XO, Laurel
