Meet New Oxford Interior Designer Emily Sanders Taylor

We have a new(ish) face at SummerHouse | Oxford who you just HAVE to meet soon! Newlywed Emily Taylor (well, she’s actually getting married this weekend – congrats, girl!) is so much fun and is SUPER talented. We love having her on the team and are excited for you to get to meet her! Emily and I have actually known each other for years and have worked together on several events and parties. I truly love this girl. She’s incredible, has a fabulous eye for design, and is very hard working. Check out her designer bio here, then get to know her on a more casual level right here, right now… 🙂

Emily Sanders Taylor, Interior Designer at SummerHouse | Oxford Can you tell us a little about you? Where you’re from, where you went to school, about your family, all that good stuff…

I graduated from Ole Miss in 2011 with a degree in Hospitality Management and moved to Jackson to work in the event planning industry. In 2015, I moved to Oxford to pursue my own wedding planning business and, truthfully, a guy. Fortunately, I’m marrying that guy in just a few days!

Can you give us your professional/design history in a nutshell?

My dad was a contractor. As I grew up, we renovated our house several times. I remember laying the hardwood floors in my kitchen in junior high and the sense of pride that came with it, just as an example. Design has always been in the back of my mind.

Is there a particular piece on the showroom floor right now that you’re particularly loving? What do you love about it?

I love our Willow sofa. It is tailored, clean, and could work in so many different spaces. I am also loving our antique wood chest. They each speak to me so much!

If you could visit anywhere in the world for a week, where would it be and why?

France and Italy! We are going for our honeymoon and want to explore off the beaten path a bit so that we can fully experience the culture.

How do you describe your personal design style?

I love “updated traditional.” I like using statement pieces that are timeless and can be paired with your grandmother’s antique chest and a few more trendy accessories. I love for homes to feel cozy and to have many layers of texture.

What’s your favorite source of design/style inspiration?

I look at interior design coffee table books and magazines all day long!! There is a whole stack on my desk.

How do you take your caffeine?

I don’t…. I’m the one crazy person that doesn’t drink coffee or sodas!

What’s a little known fact about you that makes you different?

I’ve owned a wedding planning business for almost 4 years. I feel like this has taught me so much about spatial awareness and functionality. I want all pieces to serve a purpose while looking beautiful.

/ / / / / / / / / /

I can personally speak to Emily’s incredible eye for design. You should have seen the baby shower she planned that we had at my house a few years ago. I just completely let her do everything and rearrange furniture as she needed. Then I left a lot of it where she moved it because I liked it so much better. And I’ve worked in this field since I graduated college eleven years ago! I know y’all will love Emily when you meet her if you haven’t yet. Stop by SHOX as soon as you can and shake her hand! 🙂

Hope all of you have a fantastic week.

Lots of Xs and Os from maternity leave,

Laurel

Meet Hathaway McMillon

Hello, friends! I hope you had the best weekend! I wanted to pop in today and introduce you to one of the newest faces here at the SummerHouse so y’all can get to know this new designer just a little bit better! We’ve actually had a few additions to our team (at both locations) since our blog originally went down, so you’ll be meeting several new(ish) people over the coming weeks to make up for the gap!

Today, meet Hathaway. She’s our newest Interior Designer at our Ridgeland shop. She’s been a joy to get to know over the past few weeks, so I know you’ll enjoy getting to know her as well! Let’s get on with the Q&A:Meet Hathaway McMillon

Give us a little bit of background on you please ma’am!

I was born and raised in Columbus, MS. I went to Heritage Academy for High School and University of Mississippi for college. I met my husband Alex at there at Ole Miss, and I will never forget the moment I saw him at a Kappa Delta/ SAE swap!(circa 2003) I have lived in Louisiana and Texas before moving back to Mississippi. Alex and I have a 4 year old daughter named Wimberly! My parents are here in Madison, MS, so we are so excited to be close to family. I have a younger brother named Buck that is in New Orleans so we will be taking lots of road trips to see him now that we are closer.

Can you give us your design history in a nutshell?

I have ten years of interior design experience with commercial and residential design! I have worked on projects all over the United States and loved every minute and every location.

What’s your favorite local restaurant?

This is way too hard to answer, as I have missed real southern food. I always love a good margarita and Mexican food, though.

If you could visit anywhere in the world for a week, where would it be and why?

My next trip will be to the Amalfi Coast. It is a beautiful place.

How do you take your caffeine?

I start my day every morning with a large cup of Starbucks Verona coffee with sugar free vanilla creamer and a Splenda. And I sometimes have a mid day coffee, too! I have not always loved coffee… it was not until after college that I discovered this love! I also love a Diet Coke with lemon or lime

What’s a little known fact about you that makes you different?

I have red hair and I larger than life personality with love for design.

What is your favorite thing to do on a weekend off?

Spend time with my husband Alex and daughter Wimberly! We love to entertain with friends and family. I also love a good bottle of wine with a large assortment of cheeses, a fabulous candle and fresh flowers at all times.

/ / / / / / / / / /

I totally feel you on all of that, Hathaway! Thank you so much for your time! Now all of y’all need to get up to SummerHouse | Ridgeland to meet this fun gal 😉

Stay tuned for more new faces, coming your way soon!

XO,
Laurel

#SHGoesToMarket

#SHGoesToMarket

#SHGoesToMarket

Today is officially our market team’s first day at High Point Market! Get excited! Lisa, Marty, and Katy are already dominating #HPMKT like the pros that they are. The plan is for them to gram their way through showroom after showroom, looking for the best of the best to bring back home to Mississippi!

I’m not sure how many of y’all have been to High Point, or another similar furniture market, but it really is quite a service that these ladies are providing for the SummerHouse family and for YOU, our lovely clients! Of course market is really fun, but it is straight up exhausting!

The last time I went, I was newly pregnant with my first child so I was already wo-slap-out just due to first trimester fatigue. But then you add in all the walking and standing and talking and networking and brain-powering through showroom after showroom, and you’ll find yourself a tired mamma jamma! Then add in the early mornings and the late nights. Like I said, it’s definitely fun, with tons going on, but it will tire ya right out. Somehow though, at the end of it all, dozens of pretty new vignettes, brand new lines that have never graced our showrooms before, multiple one-of-a-kinds, and so much fresh inspiration end up at SummerHouse just for you! Honestly, you guys are the driving force behind our market trips.

#SHGoesToMarket

#SHGoesToMarket

#SHGoesToMarket

To stay as on top of this market trip as you can, be sure you’re not only following SummerHouse on Instagram, but Marty, Lisa, and Katy on their personal accounts as well! Our special market hashtag is #SHGoesToMarket, so go on and give that hashtag a follow too! 😉

I know I look forward to following along on their journey through market, wishing I could be with them! I hope you enjoy following, too! 😉 Y’all have a great day! XO!

Coffee Table Styling Tips

If there is one thing we hear often as designers, it is about the difficulty of styling a coffee table. This is in fact a difficult feat if you don’t know what you’re doing! So we are here to help 🙂

We asked each of our designers to take their favorite coffee table on our showroom floors, clear it completely off, and style it as if it was their own. We feel very inspired by the tables they put together, and we picked up some helpful tips along the way! Have a look at each of their styles, then keep reading for a handful of style tricks and tips.

Coffee Table Styling Tips

A few things to keep in mind when styling a coffee table:

  • Be sure to vary the heights of the accessories you add. This adds an incredible amount of interest.
  • Mixing old/rustic with modern/new can be fun, if this is in keeping with the style of the rest of the room.
  • Pick a simple color story and stick to it.
  • Add interest with a metallic accessory.
  • When in doubt, coffee table books.
  • Trays and boxes add organization, layering, and function. If your coffee table is an upholstered piece, a tray can also serve as a place to set a drink.
  • Is your coffee table in a room where guests tend to gather? Add a game, or a decanter and cocktail glasses, or an conversation piece from your recent travels. Let your coffee table make your job as a host just a little bit easier!

Here are a few more pretty shots from these styled tables. We hope you find some good inspiration! And please do not hesitate to call a designer for help! That is what we do! 😉

The Making of a Light & Airy Living Room

The Making of a Light and Airy Living Room // designed by Laurie Conway // www.alwayssummerblog.com

The Making of a Light and Airy Living Room // designed by Laurie Conway // www.alwayssummerblog.com

SummerHouse Oxford Interior Designer Laurie Conway recently completed a beautiful install that we are dying to tell you more about! You may recall seeing a photo or two of this room on social media, but today we’re giving you all the details! Laurie was kind enough to answer a few questions we had  about this project, so let’s see what she has to say…

What pieces did the client already have that you worked around?

This client had moved from Memphis and had done a lot in her home herself. She came to me and said, “I need help… I have no idea what to do with this room.”   She had a few antique pieces in the room but we decided to relocate them in the house and start new so it was a clean slate. The shape of the room, however, was a huge challenge. She had fabulous natural light but the room had so many openings that space planning was more difficult.

What was your basis for the colors used in the room?

I started with the rug. The size was just perfect! I pulled the soft blues and neutrals from it for my color palette.  The natural light helped me keep the room clean and airy.  I wanted to ground the wall opposite of the fireplace with something to balance it, which is where we introduced a darker element.

What did you enjoy most about this particular project?

I loved the clients! It is so great when you and your client can visualize together. They are great art lovers so it was so much fun to help them find great pieces. The two gold pieces over the chairs flanking the secretary are from View Gallery.

What else do we need to know about this room?!

Because this room is used to pass through to other rooms, the furniture had to be strategically placed. I went with a symmetrical layout. And as I mentioned before, I chose a light palette and balanced the wall across from the fireplace with the Secretary in a darker finish. We were so pleased with the turnout.

We love it, Laurie! Great colors and beautiful selections. Couldn’t be prettier!

Meet Our Oxford Intern!

We are so excited to introduce y’all to our fabulous summer intern at SummerHouse | Oxford today! Her name is Laura Ellis Royal (Laura Ellis is a double name) and she is just about the cutest thing in the world! Not only is she adorable, but she’s smart, is getting us extremely organized, and helping so much with presentations and deliveries. We love Laura Ellis and we think you will too! Get to know her with a little Q&A…

SummerHouse | Oxford Intern Laura Ellis Royal

Tell us about yourself! Where you’re from, where you go to school, about your major… All that fun stuff!

One could say that I grew up in three towns without moving. I was raised on a farm in Midnight, went to church in Belzoni and went to school in Yazoo City. Now I go to Ole Miss and my major is Integrated Marketing Communications, better known as IMC. IMC prepares students in areas of advertising, social media, sales promotion, graphic design, public relations, etc. –all to create a consistent message to consumers.

What is your favorite thing about SummerHouse?

My favorite thing about SummerHouse is of course the furniture and all-around style, but I also love the ladies that work there. They have been so kind in taking me in as one of their own and stepping back for a moment to teach me various things.

Is there any piece on the showroom floor that you would take home tomorrow if you could?

There’s a light pink linen settee and an oatmeal sofa that I really like. But if I had to choose just one, I would choose the settee.

What is the most exciting thing you’ve done in the past 365 days?

Last August I went to my first John Mayer concert, and it was pretty life changing. He is even better live than on the tracks. I highly recommend going to a John Mayer concert if you have never been to one.

What is your favorite place to eat in Oxford?

My favorite restaurant definitely depends on the meal. When I’m not found eating at the sorority house, I enjoy McEwen’s or Proud Larry’s for Sunday brunch and El Agave when in the mood for some good Mexican food. Also, Jinsei and Saint Leo are great for a nice dinner with the girlfriends while keeping within the college budget.

How long would you say you’ve been interested in Interior Design?

I have loved design ever since I was a little girl. I remember drawing my dream home, measuring all the furniture and ceilings at my house for fun, and rearranging my bedroom often. Interior Design felt like just a farfetched dream until my sophomore year of college, when I spent my spring break at a luxury staging and interior design company in Greenwich, Connecticut. There I began to realize I really might want to be part of this world of interiors.

What is the best movie you’ve seen lately and why?

I recently watched a Woody Allen film called Café Society, and it was so good I had to watch it again. The music, interiors, fashion and scenery just swept me off my feet.

If you could travel anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go and why?

If I could go anywhere in the world for a week, assuming I’ll have all the money in the world in this beautiful fantasy, I would visit Monaco or Paris and the south of France. Monaco has intrigued me ever since I first watched a documentary on Grace Kelly, called Grace of Monaco. Paris is somewhere I have been before but I really need to go back. Parisian architecture takes my breath away, as well as classic French interiors (not Baroque). And if I’m already in France, I might as well go antiquing, right? And then of course visit a few vineyards and the French Riviera.

Where have you been recently where you found yourself most inspired by the design around you? Tell us about this place!

In January I had the privilege of going on a short trip to Manhattan. There I discovered the grandeur of the ceilings and chandeliers of Grand Central Station. Manhattan in general is an unbelievable place to me, and I’ve always dreamed of living there. There’s something really romantic to me about New York City amidst its busy culture. More locally, in the Lyceum at Ole Miss, the Zuber Views of North America woodblock wallpaper never fails to impress me. Sometimes I sit in the Zuber room between classes just to admire it.

How do you take your caffeine?

I hardly ever drink caffeine! When I do, it’s in the afternoon and it’s hot tea, sweet tea, or Coke.

What else do we need to know about you?!

I like a little bit of every interior style, but my favorite is Traditional French. I also have a deep appreciation of fine antiques no matter their movement or period. Here I will say I don’t believe in decorative plates, but I respect those who do.

/ / / / / / / / / /

Thank you so much Laura Ellis! Love it all! Y’all be sure to stop by and meet her next time you’re close to SummerHouse | Oxford.

Thank you for dropping in today. We hope you had a great weekend!

Meet New Ridgeland Interior Designer Erin Baker

We are so excited about sharing a fun Q&A with our newest Ridgeland designer Erin Baker today! Erin has been so much fun to have around these past few weeks. Her bright personality fits right in around here! 🙂 Get to know her a little better >>>

Tell us more about you!SummerHouse | Ridgeland Interior Designer Erin Baker // www.alwayssummerblog.com

I am so excited to be working at SummerHouse. I love design and making people’s house into a home they love and enjoy coming home to.

I am from Brookhaven, MS, I attended Brookhaven Academy and Ole Miss for college. I have been in Jackson for almost 8 years now and just recently
bought a house in Madison. I am an only child and I have two pups that I spoil more than I should.:) I love to travel and see new places. I am a runner and love to be outside. If I am not at work or outside doing something, you can find me in the gym, training. It is my stress reliever!

When did you first become interested in interior design? Tell us a little about that realization!

I became interested in design at a very early age. I can remember moving accessories and furniture in my parents house around. I designed my own
bedroom, from paint colors, fabrics, bedding, pillows etc; when i was 12.

Tell us more about your personal design style!

My personal design style is polished casual. I like crisp, clean neutrals, with a surprise of color. Simplicity to me goes a long way. I like classic looks, not trends, and I like to mix textures and metals. My mood has a lot to do with it and what the room is used for. In my house, each room has a different feel/personality.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?

My favorite way to spend my day off is relaxing with the boyfriend by the water or working on a project around my house.

How do you take your coffee?

I take my coffee with only two splenda….now! I used to be terrible. I would have a little coffee with my cream and sugar. More like syrup!

What’s the best trip you’ve been on recently? Tell us a little more about it!

The most recent trip I have been on was to Miami. I absolutely loved it. The weather was perfect. The food was amazing. But my favorite part about Miami would have to be the architecture and design. The homes are gorgeous. Everything is white and crisp with vibrant pops of color.

What aspect of SummerHouse is your favorite?

My favorite part about SummerHouse is that it feels like home. As soon as you walk in the door, you get that relaxing, ahhh feeling. Everything is beautiful and of the utmost quality. I love having other designers to bounce ideas off of. It is always helpful when you get stuck in a project or just need another point of view. All of the girls here are terrific designers and I am very privileged and excited to have the opportunity to work here.

Thank you, Erin! It’s a privilege to have you as a part of our team!

Ask Lisa: All White Rooms

All White Rooms: The DOs and DON'Ts from Lisa Palmer of SummerHouse // #interiordesign

We’ve added a fun new video to our YouTube channel as the first in a new series we’re going to start doing called ASK LISA! We asked for y’all to submit questions to us a few weeks back, and we got some GREAT responses! The one we started with was,

“Can you ever go overboard with white when designing a room?”

Watch the video to see Lisa’s response!

So to recap:

  1. Hire a professional! All white rooms can be hard.
  2. Make sure to mix textures.
  3. Add interesting woods!
  4. You do have to worry about dirt. Make sure to use 100% acrylic or Crypton fabrics when possible.
  5. Get a throw to protect your sofas and chairs from pets.
  6. Again, we reiterate, hire a professional! 🙂 (We love doing all white rooms! Hint, hint!)

We have several questions lined up to get Lisa’s opinion on, but we’d love more! So feel free to submit your own questions for Lisa in the comments below! We’d love to hear what you guys want to know from her!

Thank y’all so much for sopping by today! Have a great week!

Q&A With Interior Designer Jenni Hilbun

We are so excited to have Interior Designer Jenni Hilbun join the SummerHouse team in our Oxford location! Jenni is so much fun, is beyond talented, and keeps us laughing! We are thankful to have her as a part of our family. We think you’ll enjoy getting to know her just as much as we have!

SummerHouse | Oxford Interior Designer Jenni Hilbun // www.alwayssummerblog.comCan you tell us a little bit about your background?

I grew up across the south – North Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi. I spent lots of time with my grandparents in Columbia, MS learning everything from needlepoint (which eventually lead to sewing) to Canasta and of course, spoons!  I finished college at MSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Theory. I fueled my creative side with all types of sewing projects and poured through books and magazines learning interior specialty sewing and loving it, often sewing into the wee hours of the morning. This love and ability has grown into a 20 year career in Interior Design.

I live on a farm in Pontotoc County with my husband, Benton, three children, three dogs, one crazy cat, two beautiful horses and five hens! Life is full and rewarding.

At what point did you realize you were interested in interior design?

Pretty early actually. One of my grandmothers always let us cousins decorate her house for Christmas and that was such a treat. She bought whatever “supplies” we wanted and we went to town with it! We even caught her piano on fire one year with a candle! Never even got in trouble, although I’m sure she was clenching her jaw!
She also fostered my love of sewing and fabrics.

If you could travel anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?

I am really a homebody. I love being at home!

What is the best movie you’ve seen recently? Why’d you like it?

I don’t really go to movies… They’re too loud! But I have been watching The Crown and Reign and loving both. Of course the costumes and drapery details are fantastic.

What’s your favorite local restaurant and why?

I have lots of favorite restaurants because I don’t like to cook. My very favorites are the ones that get a “to go” order correct consistently! And have a pickup lane.

What is your favorite design publication?

This oscillates between Veranda and Traditional Home. Such good publications. I have difficulty parting with back issues.

If Hollywood wanted to make a movie about you, what actress would you want playing you? Why?

Reese Witherspoon because she catches my attention. She is about my size (a.k.a. “short”) and she is already Southern.

Give us the number one reason you’re excited to be a part of the SummerHouse team!

Absolutely because it is a part of a team. Also, positively: Lisa Palmer!

What is your favorite thing about being an interior designer?

My favorite thing about being a designer is helping families and clients fall in love with their home and special keepsakes all over again.

Who is your favorite character on a TV show and why?

Loreli Gilmore. I SO relate!

What else do we need to know about you?

I am part time at SummerHouse and am primarily there on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, but will always make an appointment convenient for my client.

/ / / / / / / / / /

Read more about Jenni and get her contact info here! Thank you so much, Jenni, for your time.   Thrilled to have you aboard!

Well Framed

Framed // www.alwayssummerblog.com

We have noticed that many of our designers have been placing exposed wood frame sofas and settees in their projects lately, which got us thinking about how much we love the versatility of this style!

Carved exposed wood adds a touch of old world charm to a space, where sleek wood adds a slightly more modern touch. Either way, we love the element that this type of seating brings into a space!  We rounded up a few of our favorite exposed wood framed pieces for your viewing pleasure. Which one is your favorite?!

The Lifetime of a Furniture Investment

Today, SummerHouse Interior Designer Elish Moon takes the stage to talk a little bit about the life of a piece of furniture and why good furniture from SummerHouse is worth the investment. We love what Elish shares and we think you will too!

The Lifetime of a Furniture Investment // www.alwayssummerblog.com

“So we have entered this era where interior design is trending and more and more accessible. In response, there are more designers, online retailers, and pop up stores than directions to turn. They’ve all got pretty pieces, unique pieces, stylish pieces. How on earth do you make a decision? Well let me share a few insider tips that might make your decision making a hair easier.

Summerhouse has been in business over a decade and is locally owned and operated. That means each piece, each line, each vendor we carry is very specifically chosen for our client and our locale. We’re not a big box store, we aren’t marketing to the masses, and our consumer lives next door, works with us, or runs into us at the local market. What does that mean? We have to sell a product we can stand behind, that is quality, and that will surpass the test of time. I as a designer am incredibly selective about what I sell to my clients. The performance of what I sell is not only a reflection of the vendors we put our names behind but a reflection of my expertise! Many potential clients are scared about making their first big “design investment”. Here are a few common misconceptions that I hear often:

1. “I have kids. And a dog. They eat macaroni and cheese on this. There’s no way I’m purchasing a nice sofa. We’ll get one when they’re grown.”
This makes me cringe. Why can’t you have kids and pets AND a nice sofa? It’s 2017…didn’t you know you can have it all!? If you are buying a “throwaway sofa” it may have to be replaced in a few years. You’ll end up spending the same amount (probably more, actually) continually replacing your “temporary” sofa as you would in the nice one! You can purchase a sofa that has a lifetime warranty on the frame, well made cushions, etc.. and just make smart choices on the fabric. Get a slipcovered sofa that is washable. Order your sofa in a performance fabric. The options are endless! You can live your life (the real one…baby spit up and all) and still be comfortable in your own home. I promise.

2. “Bar stools are how much?! Why?”
What are some of the most used pieces of furniture in your home? Sofa, bar stools… Doesn’t it make sense that a piece you use every single day might need to be high quality so it can take the abuse? Often those “bargain stools” (you know what I’m talking about) are poorly constructed, glued together, stools that got imported here on a container. They cannot hold significant weight, are not engineered for long lasting durability or stability, and wear much more quickly than an american made, hand constructed, piece. All furniture is not created equal y’all.

3. “I saw this item online for less and it’s the same item you have in your store???”
This is a tough one. I’ll be honest… sometimes the same item IS out there for less, but there is SO much value built into everything we sell that goes beyond the item itself. You have a designer’s expertise built in to every piece you purchase from Summerhouse. We’re here to help you select the best item that fits you and your lifestyle. We’re here to make sure that the piece fits in your space. We’re weighing all the variables and spending our time to narrow down options and save you time. We’re making sure pieces arrive safely, scheduling your delivery, placing things correctly. We’re the client’s safety net keeping them from making costly mistakes. You get so much more than a product when you purchase from Summerhouse. We stand behind every single thing that comes through our showroom and warehouse. You get an experience that is custom tailored to you and your home. Isn’t that a worthy investment?”

The Lifetime of a Furniture Investment // www.alwayssummerblog.com

So there you have it! Thank you so much, Elish, for all of this!

We would absolutely love to get to help you on your next interior design project, no matter how big or how small! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We hope to get to work with you soon!

Naturally Chic

You may remember several months back when we went on a social media posting frenzy about the beautiful Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles show house that Lisa got to be a part of! Lisa designed the upstairs lounge in this magnificent home:

“Architect Yong Pak of Pak Heydt & Associates and builder Michael Ladisic of Ladisic Fine Homes transformed a James Means-designed home in the heart of Buckhead in its Kingswood neighborhood. The six-bedroom home is sited on 2 acres of land on top of a hill in quiet cul de sac, overlooking a preserve and recreational fields (read: no rear neighbors!). Charleston-inspired cobblestone and brick driveway, heart of pine floors, slate roof.”

Now that the issue with the showhouse feature is out, we can share the room with you! Here’s the spread:

Books, Books, Books

Using coffee table books in design // www.alwayssummerblog.com

If there is one thing all of the SummerHouse designers have in common, it is a love of coffee table books! They look great in stacks, or simply by themselves adding a needed pop of color. Not only are they a great design tool, but they are just plain fun! Don’t you love picking up an intriguing coffee table book when you go to someone else’s home? Why not have some cool ones for your guests to peruse as well?

Wild About Wallpaper

Wallpaper. We love it! It’s a fun way to add interest to a space, large or small. A full room, an accent wall, on the back of a bookshelf… We love both subtle and bold. It’s just so versatile! We’ve used our share of wallpapers, wall coverings, and hand painted wall stencils to add interest to some of our favorite spaces to get them juuuuust right. Here’ proof that wallpaper (and wall stenciling) is EVERYTHING!

Can you tell which two photos are hand painted wall stencils? If you guessed the last two photos, you are correct! Lisa designed each of the rooms in which the hand painted stencils were used, and they could not have turned out prettier! Those rooms (well, all of them actually!) are proof that hiring a designer is SO worth it. Trained interior designers understand scale and color and can get your walls exactly how they should be.

If you’re interested in updating your walls, give us a call! We’d love to help you fulfill your vision. Thank you so much for stopping by today! It means so much to us.
