You still have a couple of days to get your Lee Industries orders in all whilst helping Wounded Warrior Project! Lee Industries is one of the most reputable upholstery companies in the business, excelling in style, fabric selection, durability, customer service, comfort, and much more! We absolutely love this company and know you will too!
So why not add a little new Lee to your life and give back while doing so?
Today’s Orange Box is all about outdoor favorites. There are so many beautiful lines of outdoor furniture and fabrics these days that it’s hard to know where to begin even thinking! Since a southern fall sticks around a little bit longer than fall in other parts of the country, we think now is as good a time as any to spruce up your outdoor and still have plenty of time (and great evening temperatures) to enjoy it!
Let’s see what our designers are loving as far as outdoor right now!
>> Lead Designer Lisa Palmer<<
“Always use 100% acrylic fabrics of course. They are colorfast, washable and bleachable and take the abuse our southern weather can dish out. A comfortable swivel chair is a must. Maybe several! Somehow human beings love to move, and I find that swivel chairs, expecially outdoor when we are at our most relaxed, are the perfect chair. The Lee Industries Outdoor Collection has several very comfortable upholstered swivel options and tons of 100% acrylic fabrics to choose from. Four grouped together facing each other with a great round cocktail table is functional and super fun!
>> Designer Todd Prince <<
I love the Brown Jordan Drift collection. Look how pretty. That’s so me! Inspired by the 1950’s… So sleek and pretty… That is so Todd!
>> Designer Elish Phares <<
There are so many more options for outdoor furniture now that it is becoming just as important in design as interior pieces! For a designer, that is very exciting. I love LEE outdoor for upholstered, and any clubcu concrete piece for casegoods. There’s nothing better than a great marriage between style and function!
>> Designer Katy Hines <<
Outdoor fabrics have come such a long way in the past few years, both in look and in feel, that we actually use them for interior design just as much as we do in our outdoor designs! Most of the time, you can’t even tell if a fabric is acrylic or not. One of my favorite lines is Link Outdoor. Great textures and patterns!
>> Designer Lindsey Townsend <<
I love all of our outdoor lines for many different reasons, but currently I am loving the “Mood Daybed” by Janus et Cie. It has a very unique and updated look. It would be amazing under a covered area near the pool. Great place for napping!
>> Designer Sunny Holliday <<
Currently, my favorite outdoor collection is the Brown Jordan Marin collection by designer Michael Berman. This is truly a stunning collection! The threading details on the gorgeous teak frames are of a UV-resistant yacht cord. The pieces are very welcoming and cozy, and can even be used indoors!
Since all Lee Industries sales during the month of July go to support Wounded Warrior Project (more on that here!), we wanted to share a few more of our staff’s Lee faves! Today, we’re sharing some cool chairs that a few of our people are in love with!
Todd loves the 1549-01 chair in leather or in a heavy-weight woven…
…and Anna loves the L5773-01 dining chair! So gorgeous!
Laurel is using C1211-01SG in a personal project…
…and Elish is really digging Lee’s outdoor fabulous options like this pretty chair!
Come in and see all of the other Lee Industries product we have on our showroom floor and get your orders placed today! (Or you can buy from stock, too! We’ve got some beautiful pieces in right now!) Since it’s for such a great cause, why not order those chairs you’ve been wanting for months now?! Our fabulous designers can help you make the perfect selection!
In case you missed the announcement last week, we are partnering with Lee Industries and Restyle Source in their Lee Gives Back campaign, so when you buy any Lee Industries upholstery during the month of July, you’re supporting Wounded Warrior Project!
We could not be more excited to support this worthy cause!
So why did we choose Wounded Warrior Project?
Here are just a few reasons…
– Their vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.
– Their purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
– Armed with fun, integrity, loyalty, innovation, and service + a culture of teamwork, Wounded Warrior Project staff work to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded warriors in our nation’s history!
See why we think so much of this organization?! 🙂
We can think of no better way to give back to our community! Thanks again for your business, especially during this month where, together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our servicemen!
When we heard about Lee Gives Back, a special month-long event that Lee Industries is putting on during July, we were reminded of why we love this company so much! Not only does Lee produce beautiful, high-quality upholstery, but they care about loving on local dealers and the communities with which these dealers work.
During the month of July, they’ve given each dealer the chance to choose a charity to give back a portion of their proceeds. SummerHouse has chosen Wounded Warrior Project as our charity, so 10% of all of our Lee Industries sales during the month of July will go towards this noteworthy organization!
Throughout the month, we’ll highlight a few of our favorite Lee products as well as a little more about why we chose Wounded Warrior Project as our charity.
We look forward to working with you in the coming month on furnishing your home with beautiful upholstery all while giving back to a well-deserving charity.
We’re so excited about the newest issue of Delta Magazine!
Not only are two of our clients’ homes featured in the pages of the pretty publication, but one of the homes made the COVER of the magazine!
The two homes shown in the pages were in the “A Dozen Inspiring Designs” feature, so we were honored to have such a strong showing! Lisa designed the foyer space, and she and Todd worked together on the living room! 🙂
Fun fact: The homes that these two rooms are in are right next door to each other in Jackson’s historical Eastover neighborhood! The owners are best friends! 🙂
Mississippi is just one big small town, and that’s why we love it!
Many thanks to Delta for the love! And thank you for stopping by today and reading! 🙂
We’ve had two big winners as of late, so we thought we’d continue celebrating with them on their big victories with a quick blog post!
The winner of ourLike, Share, Win contest was super excited about the SummerHouse happy basket she got to take home! And all for just sharing her favorite item in our webstore! 🙂 Congrats, Tina! Way to go!
Our other winner, Kim, got to take home a Lee Industries chair because of her victory in the #LOVELEECHAIR Instagram contest! Her photo got 1300 likes! (Impressive!)
We love the chair she got!
Congrats again to Tina and Kim! We’re so excited for both of you and hope you enjoy your prizes! 🙂
If you’ve had your eye on a Lee Industries chair that’s on our showroom floor lately, NOW is the time to come take another look! And if you don’t have an Instagram account, you’ll need to get one, because…
Your favorite Lee chair could be yours for FREE! Allow us to tell you about a lovely contest Lee has going on…
But FIRST, we must highlight the fact that our very own Todd Prince is in the marketing material for this contest! Yep, that’s him top right center! We love that Lee likes using SummerHouse folks in their promo materials! (Remember Lisa in this campaign?) 🙂
So about this Love-Lee contest! All you have to do is come into SummerHouse, take a picture sitting in your favorite Lee chair on the showroom floor, and Instagram it! Here are the guidelines for posting…

Our designers will be happy to take pictures for you, should you need a hand! 🙂 See you soon!!!
Our pretty showroom is looking simply stunning after a recent update! Marty, our big strong wonderful moving guys, and many a helping hand do such a great job working together to bring in new inventory, remove sold items, and accessorize with the new things we have coming in daily! Here’s a little look at what you’ll find if you come in anytime in the next few days!

It’s officially Lee Loves Local week, where Lee Industries dealers all over the country are celebrating local love by hosting parties and events all throughout the week! And we’re excited to be a part!
Our event was originally scheduled for tomorrow, but with the crazy weather that’s expected to hit our area tonight and tomorrow, we decided to push things back to THURSDAY (which is supposed to be a beautiful day!)
So please join us this Thursday for our Shalla Wista trunk show, 20% off all in-stock Lee furniture THURSDAY ONLY, and some bubbles and bites from 5 until 7!
We can’t wait to see all of you! As always, thanks for supporting local by shopping with us! 🙂 We appreciate all of you SO much!
We’re so excited about our Lee Loves Local event, which is set for Tuesday February 11th! On that day from 10 until 7, we’ll be hosting a Shalla Wista trunk show! If you’re not familiar with Shalla Wista, then you certainly need to make plants to be here on the 11th! This line of jewelry is simply stunning… PERFECT for Valentine’s Day presents!
Each piece is handmade by Birmingham based designer Laura Gaines or a member of her small team of artisans. We are honored to have her collection represented at SummerHouse!
How gorgeous is all of this? This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Shalla Wista has to offer! Be sure to make plans to stop by next Tuesday to see all of this (and more) with your own eyes!
We’ll also have happy hour from 5 until 7 with some special local bubbles and bites! Stay tuned for more information about that aspect of our event in the coming days!
A huge thank you to Lee Industries and Restyle Source for making Lee Loves Local week happen. We’re so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful national event! 🙂
In a couple of weeks, LEE LOVES LOCAL week springs into action! LEE Industries dealers all over the country will host special events all throughout the week of February 9th through 16th, and we’re not missing out on the fun!
Stay tuned for details on our local love event coming later this week! We hope to have them finalized in the next few days, and we’re excited to share what we’ve got in store! One of the reasons we’re SO excited about this event is because our very own Lisa Palmer is covergirls in the national advertising campaign for this event!

As you might remember reading in our post from last week about the upcoming Christmas Open House at The Township (which we hope you can come to- it’s Thursday!), we are doing another coat drive this year!
The drive will run from December 5th (the day of the Open House) until December 19th, and just to make things a little more exciting, we’re giving away two Lee Industries chairs in the process!
Do we have your attention yet?! Keep reading…
We’ve cleverly entitled this year’s event the GIVE & GET COAT DRIVE because when you give, you get the chance to win! For each coat you bring us to give to Stewpot, you get one entry into the drawing for these beautiful chairs! (Did we mention they’re from one of our most esteemed vendors, that they’re leather, and that they’re swivel gliders?! SERIOUSLY!)
Every coat earns one entry, so if you bring ten coats, you get to put your name in the drawing ten times! Sounds pretty great, right?! (We do ask that the mens, womens, or childrens coats you bring are in new or gently used condition.)
We hope to see you December 5th for the Open House (or anytime during the two weeks after that) with an arm full of coats to drop off! Once the drive is over on 12/19, we’ll draw the two winners on 12/20, so be sure you don’t miss the chance to be a part of our biggest giveaway to date!
For more information about our coat drive, please don’t hesitate to give us a call! (601-853-4445) And for more information about the Christmas Open House, CLICK HERE!
Last week we talked about how busy Todd and Tina have been lately with several big projects, and we’re here to share the second of the two big installs they’ve had recently! (If you missed the blog post about their big outdoor install, check it out here!)
This install isn’t 100% done, but it’s looking so great that we couldn’t help but share a few photos! We’ll have more in the near future when all of the finishing touches have been added!
Designer Todd Prince says he loved working on this home and helping create a relaxing, inviting atmosphere with his selections. The foyer is beautifully detailed with a piece of art from View Gallery and a completely custom entry table. (Todd had the table built, the skirt custom made, and the custom stencil applied!)
The keeping room in this home is filled by a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams sectional, Lauren Lachance artwork, and a fantastic Club Cu concrete table. The Lee chair in the corner is also a beautiful, soft touch! So pretty!
This Lee Industries sofa, Mottega lamps, and Hickory Chair side tables are the perfect start to this living room! The custom Kerry Joyce pillows add just the right amount of color.
In the breakfast area of the home, Todd had a custom table made and surrounded it with Artesia chairs. All of the tabletop is from SummerHouse, and we’re all in love with the Lauren Barksdale landscape hung on the wall!
Lastly, we bring you the master bedroom! This cozy, restful, spa-like retreat was created to be a get-away from everyday life. The custom bedding, Kerry Joyce pillows and Mr. Brown lamps beautifully accent the Vanguard uphostered headboard the Compendium Vanguard side tables.
Who wouldn’t feel relaxed in this home?! Great work Todd. You nailed it, yet again!
